Sarawak’s business events campaign, Tribe Legacy Sarawak, is on the right track in supporting Sarawak’s economic, social and environmental agendas outlined in the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy, PCDS 2030.
Since launching in 2020, the campaign has generated 145 events with a total economic impact of RM385.5 million, RM209.5 million in direct delegate expenditure, RM23.1 million in tax revenue and 30,594 job opportunities.
In terms of industry development, 78 partners now carry international industry qualifications—the highest in Malaysia. Meanwhile, 38 partner organisations now carry the Travel Safe Alliance Malaysia certification.
