Restructuring and enhancing the ANZ events industry.
With event services hitting rock bottom during the last 2 years and the workforce currently being very lean, there is a great opportunity for Gevme to help event organisers by reducing their workload in setting up and planning so they can focus more on relationship-building and networking activities with our suite of solutions. Some unique solutions that Gevme offers include:
End-to-end event management: registration – email marketing – AI-driven business matching – digital – onsite check-in – data reporting & analytics onsite check-in kiosks – made from recycled, sustainable material.
As members of MEA (Meetings and Events Australia) and ACCI (Australian Chamber of Commerce & Industry), in addition to being business partners of PCOA (Professional Conference Organisers Australia), Gevme is also working with Australian event professionals to understand their needs and push the boundaries of event tech in ANZ. In line with the region’s drive for eco-friendly solutions streaming capabilities to anywhere in the world, even China.
Event website builder – guaranteeing a 24/7/365 engagement omnichannel strategy.
With the resurgence of in-person events, there is also another opportunity that is resonating with some event planners; the chance to combine “the way it used to be” with the innovations of the last couple of years that we had to pivot to.
As the region accelerates towards a full reopening, the Gevme team hopes to spur the ANZ market by embracing the learnings of the past 2 years and delivering even more robust, sustainable and impactful experiences.
Pre-pandemic, the ANZ market saw upwards of 480,000 business events every year, with over 43 million total attendees, contributing more than AUD 35 million to Australia’s GDP in 2019.
On top of having boots on the ground so we are in sync with local market trends and needs, we are excited to announce that our eco-friendly, fully brandable check-in kiosks are available in Sydney. With the Australian government supporting the events industry’s revival with initiatives such as the Business Events Recovery and Rebound Framework, we’re seeing a sharp increase in the number of events, hopefully bringing us back to pre-pandemic levels sooner than expected.
Gevme, an event technology company headquartered in Singapore, is expanding its business to the Australian and New Zealand markets following the post-pandemic boom of the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events industry (MICE) within the region. Offering our successful solutions to a new market is an exciting prospect that we look forward to working on with ANZ market leaders,” says Veemal Gungadin, founder and CEO of Gevme.
Key differences and offerings that GEVME will have compared to the current players
Gevme is dedicated to empowering event professionals to navigate this change through innovative technologies that bring people together and let them share ideas and grow.
Fundamentally, we want to get our ears to the ground and hear about the industry’s needs, success stories and pain points. By listening and learning, we hope to fill the gaps and make event management more streamlined and less stressful for our clients,” says Mizuho.
Platform-wise, onsite and online attendees can connect and engage via Gevme’s browser-based platform. Branded experience.
No-code editor, Content widgets that can be published anywhere for easy sharing.
Our goal is to gradually expand our onsite services to other cities around Australia and in New Zealand within the next few years.” says Mizuho Hara, Partnership Director and ANZ Territory Leader. The Gevme team is also currently building its Australia-based sales, account management and onsite services, teams.
The ANZ market is very well-established, on top of being one of the more progressive ones when compared with other regions. These figures inevitably dropped in the past two years, but the numbers are starting to rebound as travel resumes and more events are being organised.
This engagement will become even more seamless with the introduction of their native event app that will be released in Q1 2023. In addition to having a local team, Gevme is expanding its scope by attaining another accreditation. Gevme currently has enterprise-grade data protection being ISO 27001, ISO 27017, and ISO 27018 certified as well as GDPR ready and PDPA compliant, yet they have decided to take it even further.
