The National Travel Industry Awards (NTIAs) 2022 gala brought the best and brightest travel professionals together under one roof, marking a moment of unity and recognition of the shared purpose of celebrating the challenges overcome and the travel success that lies ahead.
Thanks to Major Sponsor Singapore Airlines, nearly 1,200 travel professionals and businesses descended on the International Convention Centre’s Grand Ballroom for an NTIA ceremony unlike any that preceded it.
AFTA CEO Dean Long’s opening address set the tone for the evening with a heartfelt rallying call for everyone to remember the support they provided over the past two years; to clients, to the travel industry, and to each other.
As the night progressed through the hotly contested categories guests enjoyed the entertainment, the glitz and the opportunity to be together.
Quotes from Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) CEO Dean Long (who is available for interview)
“The NTIAs 2022 was truly a night to remember. This is in no small part due to the high calibre of entries we received and the exemplary support travel professionals provided to their clients this year.”
“Events of the scale the NTIAs 2022 celebration do not just happen. On behalf of everyone I thank the hardworking AFTA team and the generous support of our sponsors for helping us realise our vision for this event.”
“I hope everyone enjoyed the entertainment, and I look forward to sharing more details around AFTA’s new approach as we continue developing the theme of taking the travel industry forward into the future.”
“Judging by some of the stories we heard about on the night, I know the travel industry will continue rising to overcome any challenges, just as we have already done over the course of the pandemic.”
“Our resilient travel community is our greatest strength, and moving forward AFTA will continue our focus on harnessing the skills and expertise across our network to benefit our industry, our clients and our businesses.”
