Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) launches its third annual Walk for Wellness on 1 October 2022, as it prepares to give away $16,000 worth of prizes- a record prize figure for the challenge.

To kick things off, the NCL Australia team gathered for a beach clean-up in Sydney led by a partner organisation, Take 3 for the Sea, to get everyone into the spirit for four weeks of wellbeing-focused activities to coincide with National Mental Health Month from 1-31 October and WHO World Mental Health Day.

Walk for Wellness recognises that wellness means different things to different people and that for many, the wellness of the environment is intrinsically linked to a personal sense of wellbeing. That’s why this year, agents will have the opportunity to help tackle plastic pollution through NCL’s newly announced partnership with Take 3 for the Sea, with hands-on clean-up challenges that offer a practical way for trade partners to look after themselves while taking action for the environment.

Travel agents will get active and track their collective steps towards a combined goal of 140,000km, following the journey that the all-new Norwegian Spirit, fresh from the most extensive and expensive refurbishment in NCL history, will travel during her inaugural season in the region, sailing from Hawaii to Tahiti, then Australia and New Zealand, and becoming the first NCL ship to sail local waters in almost three years.

Walk for Wellness has been recognised as a finalist in this year’s National Travel Industry Awards (NTIA) for ‘Most Outstanding Marketing Campaign – Supplier’ with winners announced on 15 October.
