Global escorted tour company, Globus family of brands (GFOB) – consisting of river cruising operator Avalon Waterways and coach touring companies Globus and Cosmos – has appointed three new business development managers, effective immediately. Driving sales growth in their new roles, the GFOB team is expanding to meet the demand of Aussie travellers in 2023 and beyond.

Anji Tierney – BDM QLD South & West

Anji joins Globus family of brands as the new BDM for Queensland South and West, with extensive experience in the region. Prior to the pandemic, Anji was a key figure at Bench Africa both nationally and in QLD. Anji also has multiple years under her belt in numerous leadership and store roles with Flight Centre, in both QLD and NSW. Anji is excited to join the GFOB team and help grow the business in the QLD South and West regions.

Matthew Beggs – BDM NSW North

Matthew has more than nine years’ experience in the travel industry, including three years as a Top Deck Tour Leader in Europe and three years in sales and business development for Top Deck, Flight Centre, and Welcome to Travel. Well-travelled, Matthew is passionate about being out on the road, meeting new people and championing the GFOB portfolio in this capacity in his new role.

 Natalie Hemms – BDM NSW South & ACT

Natalie is well versed in touring and river cruise, joining Globus family of brands after four years working at Colette. Natalie also has experience working as a home-based travel agent for itravel and in the MICE and Groups team at Qantas. Until recently, Natalie also worked as a part-time casual teacher at TAFE NSW, where she passed on her industry experience to the next generation of motivated and aspiring travel and tourism professionals.

The Globus family of brands’ products span across Europe, North & South America, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, with new product launching across the portfolio for 2023 and 2024.
