Pro-invest Group, in partnership with Accor, is pleased to announce the opening of The Sebel Canberra Campbell in the nation’s capital today, making it the second Sebel-branded hotel in Canberra for Pro-invest Hotels. The launch also marks the first hotel purchased as part of Pro-invest Hotels third discretionary fund.

Flanked by Canberra’s grandest boulevards and set just behind Lake Burley Griffin, The Sebel Canberra Campbell boasts a prime position in the symbolic heart of Canberra with the CBD, ASIO Headquarters, Parliament House and the retail and dining precincts of Kingston Foreshore and Manuka just a short drive away.

The brand new, 63-key serviced apartment hotel features spaciously appointed studios, one and two-bedroom apartments which include a modern kitchenette as well as a washer/dryer combo making them an ideal base for long-stay guests.

According to Shantha de Silva, Chief Operating Officer, Pro-invest Hotels, the new The Sebel property is a natural extension of the Group’s partnership with Accor.

“We’re extremely excited to be opening our second The Sebel-branded property in Australia’s capital and know it will enjoy strong year-round demand from corporate and leisure travellers while offering guests the ideal ‘home away from home,” Shantha said.

The hotel enjoys close proximity to Parliament House and nearby government offices, the Australian Defence Force Academy and Royal Military College, Canberra’s CBD and Canberra Airport, and is expected to benefit from year-round demand from corporate and government visitors.

Accor Pacific CEO, Sarah Derry, said: “We are delighted to partner with Pro-invest to open The Sebel Canberra Campbell. We will provide guests incredible experiences that match the vibrancy of Canberra, in serviced apartments which offer increased flexibility and more space. The property is tailored to suit business and leisure travellers who wish to be located in the heart of Canberra and value high standards in style, amenities and thoughtful design. Looking to the future, Canberra will continue to grow as a travel destination holding great appeal for visitors.”
