Having just released its maiden full-year results as a listed company that exceeded forecasts for revenue and earnings, Alloggio said the rebound in domestic visitation was now in full swing. Our experience is that overseas tourists still perceive that Australia has been slow to reopen, and we would encourage governments to invest more to bring overseas tourists back,’’ he said.

Alloggio’s gross bookings increased a whopping 150% on last year’s figures as people flocked to their favourite holiday hotspots along Australia’s east coast,’’ Mr Creedon said. Inbound travel from overseas is yet to take off.

The great Australian beach holiday is well and truly back on the radar.
