Designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne of Morphosis Studio, OCMA will expanse over 53,000 square feet, including over 25,000 square feet of gallery space, a 10,000-square-foot education center, roof terrace and sculptural wing. The expansive structure aims to be a hub for communal gatherings. OCMA’s 24-hour grand opening to the public will start at 5:00 p.m. on October 8, 2022. The event will include a silent dance party, musical performances, food trucks, art making, guided tours, movies for insomniacs and sunrise yoga.
