Cruise Traveller has announced that its newest exclusive booking agent agreement is with Southeast Asia river cruise operator, Mekong Princess Cruises.

Cruise Traveller’s exclusive, new 12-night “Mekong Majesty’ cruise tour package from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City is available on 11 departure dates between January and December 2023. Including five nights’ hotel accommodation, the seven-night all-inclusive cruise and touring with selected meals, fares are available from A$5695 per person, twin-share, in a Junior Suite – a saving of A$350 per person.

Guests then board the Mekong Princess in the nearby river town of Campong Cham for a seven-night journey downstream to central Ho Chi Minh City, with excursions, cultural performances, cooking classes, selected onboard beverages and Wi-Fi all included in fares.

Celebrating its 20th year of cruising, Mekong Princess Cruises operates the deluxe and spacious, all-suite river ship, Mekong Princess, which boasts a high one-to-one crew to guest ratio, with 28 crew pampering just 28 guests.

“Mekong River cruising is back on the radar now with Australians once again set to savour the beauty and tranquillity of the Mekong with its many temples, traditional villages, lush landscapes, rice fields, floating markets, friendly locals and timeless rhythms,” Mr Bowen said.

Designed to reflect the French colonial era in the region, the elegant, 63m-long Mekong Princess offers French balconies in all staterooms, a fine dining restaurant, lounge, and deluxe chaise day beds for sunset cocktails on the alfresco sun deck, gym and spa centre.

The ship is one of the only Mekong River vessels to start or end cruises in central Ho Chi Minh City, allowing guests to step off and start exploring Vietnam’s largest city with its bustling street vibe and soaring skyscrapers towering over traditional markets and charming French colonial buildings. After the cruise, two nights’ accommodation in Ho Chi Minh City allows guests to join complimentary tours with lunch included to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels from the Vietnam War and the Saigon Opera House as well as temples, markets and palaces. With staff focusing on servicing and anticipating guests’ needs, most guests find the only time they need to raise their hand is to wave back to local children greeting the ship from the riverbank.

Each package begins with three nights’ accommodation in Siem Reap, Cambodia, a cultural show and a three-day pass and a sunrise tuk-tuk tour to the nearby Angkor Wat temple.

Mekong Princess offers year-round, eight-day, one-way voyages between Siem Reap in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam.

The Managing Director of Cruise Traveller, Craig Bowen, welcomed Mekong Princess Cruises to Cruise Traveller’s portfolio of clients. “We look forward to broadening awareness and interest amongst Australians in the wonderful, all-inclusive journeys offered by Mekong Princess Cruises.”

The holiday ends with a memorable farewell dinner cruise on the Saigon River. Eleven departure dates are available throughout 2023. The sprawling Angkor Wat ‘temple mountain’ was built in the 12th century as a shrine for the Hindu god, Vishnu. Solo fares are from A$7575 – a saving of A$455.
