Bridge-to-Nowhere-Mountains-to-Sea-cycle-trail-Whanganui-National-ParkEvolution Travel Collective (ETC) has announced a new partnership with Kiwi rail operator, Great Journeys New Zealand.

Great Journeys New Zealand (GJNZ) is part of the KiwiRail family and is known for its famous scenic rail journeys Northern Explorer, Coastal Pacific & TranzAlpine railways, which traverse New Zealand’s North and South Islands.

Great Journeys New Zealand has big ambitions and sees partnering with Evolution Travel Collective as the next step as it continues to grow its presence in the Australian market.

General manager of GJNZ, Tracey Goodall, says the company is focused on growing its B2B opportunity with Australian agents.

“We are excited about partnering with Evolution Travel Collective. Their expert team will provide us with the opportunity to speak with more agents at the point-of-sale level, ensuring they know about the fantastic options a rail trip in NZ can offer their customers. ETC provides us with an extension to our existing sales team so that we can ensure Australian agents have access to support on the ground. We will continue to work with all our wholesale partners in the region, with ETC assisting our NZ team to manage this together.”

Ingrid Berthelsen, managing director of Evolution Travel Collective says she is looking forward to the opportunity to partner with a rail travel specialist such as Great Journeys New Zealand.

“In past roles, I have been lucky enough to both sell and travel on their wonderful product so to have the chance to now work closely with them on their sales strategy and further grow their brand in the Australian B2B space is very exciting,” Berthelsen said.

“We are looking forward to providing this evolution in trade support to GJNZ for the Australian wholesale and agent networks.”

ETC will be supporting the trade with anything they need to help them better understand and sell GJNZ products.
