Hayton Travel Training LogoAustralia’s longest-established private travel training has offered online travel courses for over 20 years. For 2022, Hayton has released new online interactive training programs for Airport Check-in and Corporate Travel Advisor positions. These complement their long-standing interactive GDS Reservations, Fares and Ticketing and Conversion courses for the major systems.

The aftermath of the pandemic has meant a shortage in all sectors of the industry, including airport check-in positions, airlines and agency reservations areas, tour wholesalers and frontline travel advisors.

Hayton’s state-of-the-art, long-term established, interactive GDS courses now include a new course using the Amadeus Altea Departure Control System. This trains participants in customer management, passenger data and updates, check-in procedures including seat selection, plus a refresher section on making reservations.

Other new courses incorporating Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo GDS focus on the demand of the growing corporate sector and offer the skills required in a career as a travel advisor for business travel management companies – the corporate courses do require prior proficiency in the use of a GDS.

Hayton identifies that not all returning travel advisors to the industry after the Covid disruption will return to the same GDS. For these situations, Hayton offers conversion courses from one GDS to another.

Comprehensive GDS (Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo) courses for new staff are only $395.00 and include 45 online “hands-on” training hours plus worksheet exercises for format reinforcement.

Support and certification are included with all courses.
