Travel Training two woman sitting near table using Samsung laptopHayton releases new online programs for the airport and corporate positions to complement their long-standing online, interactive GDS Reservations and Fares and Ticketing courses.

While the impact of Covid-19 has required an industry restructuring across all sectors, it has also highlighted an immediate need for training new staff and returning staff.

As demonstrated by media coverage of airport delays due to staff shortages, airport procedure skills are now highly sought after, with airport staffing levels dropping during the pandemic.

Hayton offers a new course using the Amadeus Altea Departure Control System, which includes customer management, passenger data and updates, check-in procedures including seating selection, plus a refresher section on making reservations. Our first student to take a GDS and Check-in course package landed a job at the airport only a couple of weeks after successful course completion.

Other new courses across the Amadeus, Sabre and Galileo GDS focus on the growing corporate sector and offer preparation for a career as a travel advisor in a business travel management company – these corporate courses require basic proficiency in the use of a GDS.

Additionally, conversion courses from one GDS to another are available, and comprehensive GDS (Amadeus, Sabre or Galileo) industry entrant courses start from only $395.00.

The standalone Amadeus DCS Airport Check-in course is also $395.00, and the package with both GDS and DCS courses is offered at $695.00. Support and certification are included with all courses.
