Successful 4-day golfing event for the 10th Sheraton Golf Classic TournamentThe Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort in partnership with Pacific Golf Management held a successful 4-day tournament for the 10th Sheraton Golf Classic. Players were hosted at the Denarau Golf & Racquet Club, home to the South Pacific’s golf course which is a premier 18-hole golf course situated on Denarau Island, including the championship Natadola Bay Golf Course. Participating teams were split into two groups to play over 4 rounds of golf at the premier Golf Courses from the 7th to the 11th of June.

The International Pro-Am tournament marked its 10th anniversary and is the largest golfing competition in Fiji and the South Pacific, attracting over 200 registered golfers at this year’s event. There was a mix of players from Australia, New Zealand and Fiji who converged on Denarau Island to participate in this much anticipated and world-class event, after a lapse of two years with the closure of borders.

Following a successful and eventful 4-days of golfing action, the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort hosted the final awards night and gala dinner at Sandy Point, a popular on-site location at the resort for large-scale events. The Gala Dinner and Prize Giving were attended by over 250 guests which included players, organisers, sponsors and hotel associates to celebrate the momentous occasion.

The event was a major success with support from key sponsors and long-term partnerships with Event Organisers, the Pacific Golf Management team in New Zealand including additional support from other local sponsors with plans in the pipeline for a bigger event next year.
