Melco Resorts & Entertainment continued to support the Macao International Dragon Boat Races for the 16th consecutive year with an all-round robust performance. The Melco Dragon Boat Team showcased its strength, energy and team spirit in the Macau Standard Dragon Boat Race 500m and Macau Small Dragon Boat Race 200m, while Melco’s drummer Ms. Chan Wai Chan was hailed Best Drummer of the Macau Standard Dragon Boat Race.
Ms. Akiko Takahashi, Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff to Chairman & CEO of Melco, said, “We thank and congratulate the Melco Dragon Boat Team and cheerleading team for their tremendous efforts and achievements in this year’s competition. We are also grateful to the organizers for making the event possible, enabling the opportunity to further boost team spirits as we continue the Melco tradition of participating in these important and highly-anticipated races.”
Organized by the Sports Bureau of Macao SAR Government and Dragon Boat Association of Macau, China and co-organized by Municipal Affairs Bureau and Public Administration and Civil Service Bureau, the 2022 Macao International Dragon Boat Races were successfully hosted at Nam Van Lake Nautical Centre on May 29 and June 3.
