Silver Explorer® will embark on a ten-day exploration of the breathtaking Kimberley coast, departing from Darwin this Saturday, June 4.

The Kimberley region is amongst the most treasured in the world and we are thrilled to offer Silversea’s ultra-luxury expedition experience to our valued guests,” Silversea Managing Director for Asia-Pacific, Adam Radwanski said.

We have successfully welcomed guests around the world and we now look forward to unlocking the breathtaking natural wonders of the Kimberley region, where few people have been,” said Radwanski.

Silver Explorer sets sail from Darwin on Saturday, embarking on the first of eight voyages in the Kimberley region for her 2022 season. Comparatively, the 2023 season has 10 sailings, commencing in May 2023. Voyages on Silver Explorer in the Kimberley region are nearly sold-out for 2022, but there are suites available for 2023.
Silver Muse® returns to Australia in early December this year, and Silver Whisper® arrives in Auckland in early January 2023. In a Silversea first, Silver ShadowSM departs Sydney for the 2023 World Cruise in early January.
SEAMLESS TRAVEL FROM HOME TO SHIP AND BACK AGAIN
Silversea’s Silver Explorer will take guests deep into Australia’s Kimberley Coast, showcasing the best of the destination’s beautiful landscapes and remarkable wildlife. A team of expedition experts—which includes marine biologists, ornithologists, naturalists, and other specialists—will share their expertise on board Silver Explorer and lead excursions ashore to unlock Australia’s wilderness frontier. Included experiences range from a Zodiac trip to King George Falls, where guests will get close enough to feel the spray from the 80m twin cascades, to an introduction to Aboriginal rock art, which dates back more than 50,000 years.
Highlight itineraries include:
Darwin to Darwin — From June 30, 2023, Silver Explorer will depart Darwin to embark on a 10-day exploration of the spectacular Kimberley region. Guests will experience a breathtaking tour by air of the striped sandstone towers of the Bungle Bungle ranges in Wyndham, followed by an exploration of one of Kimberley’s most magnificent wonders, King George Falls. Guests will enjoy extended calls in the Hunter River region and the Buccaneer Archipelago, discovering fantastic natural phenomena such as the horizontal, reversible waterfall in Talbot Bay. Guests will also visit Adele Island and King George River, before arriving in Darwin.
Darwin to Fremantle — From August 9, 2023, Silver Explorer will travel from Darwin to Perth, journeying along the arresting and rugged coastline of Western Australia on an immersive 17-day voyage. This longer voyage option provides guests with the chance to discover the natural beauty of both the Kimberley Coast and the Coral Coast. Guests will cruise by Zodiac in the lagoons of the Lacepede Islands, as well as experience an unforgettable expedition to the Dampier Archipelago—a visual feast of rust-coloured rocks, white beaches, and aquamarine seas. Guests will explore the Ningaloo Reef in Exmouth aboard a glass-bottomed boat, enjoying an unobstructed view of spectacular marine life and coral. Silver Explorer will then visit the ‘Galapagos of the South’, the Abrolhos Islands, before arriving in Perth.
