New Zealand’s borders are steadily re-opening and research shows that almost six in 10 Australians (58%, to be precise) would like to holiday in New Zealand within six months of being allowed to do so.
New Zealand will open to Australian visitors, without quarantine, in less than a month, from 13 April 2022. With perfect timing, Tourism New Zealand has released its latest campaign to attract tourists from Australia.
‘Within Your Wildest Dreams’ is the latest iteration of ‘Stop Dreaming and Go’ which launched in 2021.
In anticipation of Australian visitors returning to New Zealand, Within Your Wildest Dreams encourages travellers to keep dreaming of the vast experiences New Zealand has on offer and to start planning their trip.
The campaign encourages Australians to escape the ordinary and dream of a journey to New Zealand, where deep respect and care for the land reflects its natural splendour.

 
As a general guide, you can currently enter New Zealand without needing to isolate if you are a New Zealander or an Australian citizen, provided you are fully vaccinated, have spent the previous 14 days in Australia or NZ and have had the pre-departure tests you need.
On 16 March 2022, it was announced that Australian tourists will be able to return to New Zealand from 13 April 2022 and others from visa-waiver countries from 2 May 2022. Visitors will need to be vaccinated and take a number of pre-departure and arrival tests.
These requirements will gradually ease, in phases, as the year progresses. To be sure, check the relevant New Zealand Government website.
Tourism New Zealand’s new tourism campaign sees a familiar Australian dreamer and Kiwi guide Tai venture through New Zealand to uncover Māori, wildlife and nature experiences that are all Within Your Wildest Dreams.
Tourism New Zealand will provide key travel partners with the tools to be prepared ahead of travel resuming, and agents can register to start the process of becoming a certified 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist HERE.
Travel sellers can register to access free, professionally designed marketing materials and sales tools for Within Your Wildest Dreams through the 100% Pure New Zealand Marketing Hub, including:

As the pandemic fades, it’s evident travel between Australia and New Zealand has a great future. The two countries are among the world’s closest – socially, economically and in trade and history.
For the whole calendar year 2019 (disregarding the pandemic-distorted years since), New Zealand continued to be the leading destination country for Australians travelling overseas, with nearly 1.5 million trips. New Zealand was also the main supplier of visitors to Australia before the pandemic closed borders.

The integrated brand campaign will launch in Australia on 7 March 2022 and run for a 16-week period – brought to life through dreams appearing across TV, radio, outdoor, online video, social and digital channels.
