Revolutionary travel technology platform, TRAVLR has appointed new senior executives as part of its Australian and global team – US-based Vice President Global ‘Travel as a Service’ (TaaS) Sales, Jason Greene, NZ-based Head of Global Travel Product, Roann Roberts and Australian-based Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Matthew Patterson. These new roles will expedite TRAVLR’s expansion into the US and UK markets following its $6.7M Pre-Series B cap raise and newly formed Executive team and Board led by Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Simon te Hennepe and Chair, Michelle Guthrie.

TRAVLR is a world-first travel platform which consolidates the global travel industry into one seamless user experience via its unique ‘Travel as a Service’ (TaaS) model. The company licenses its fully managed travel technology software and service offering to world leading media companies, enabling their audiences to discover, plan and book curated and relevant, once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences within their own ecosystem and under their own brand.

Current partners include Paramount ANZ (10Travlr.com.au, NickTravel.com and MTVTravel.com), BBC Global News (DiscoverBeyond.com) and stuff.co.nz.

As TRAVLR’s first US-based appointment, Jason Greene will identify and expand partnership opportunities across the US and UK markets and establish streamlined processes to align with the team in Australia. With 20 years’ sales experience supporting Comscore Top 100 publishers and global brands in technology, Jason has brought SaaS products to global markets while based in Tel Aviv, London, NYC and currently Los Angeles.

Hailing from New Zealand, TRAVLR’s new Head of Global Travel Product, Roann Roberts has almost 20 years’ experience at Flight Centre Travel Group. Roann will be responsible for leading the strategic vision, procurement and delivery of travel product and experiences for all TRAVLR’s partners globally. She brings extensive skills in customer experience, strategy, sales and marketing, with key insights into the needs of the current and future traveller.

US-born and based in Australia, Matthew Patterson has over 20 years’ experience working with leading financial and corporate advisory institutions, Macquarie Group and Ernst & Young. Most recently, he worked as CFO of Envirosuite – an ASX-listed environmental technology company before joining TRAVLR to oversee its financial structures and capital-raising activities towards growth and expansion.

These appointments join the executive leadership team which has significantly grown over the last six months to support TRAVLR’s growth and partner offering.

These include:

  • Sarah La Roche as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Previously, Sarah was COO at Smiling Mind, Director M&C Saatchi London and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at Unlockd.
  • Jamie Skella as Chief Product Officer. Previously, Head of UX at the Australian Football League.
  • Michael Moens, Financial Controller. Previously, Head of Finance and Insights at SportChamps and Manager, Technology & Growth at KPMG Australia.
  • Catherine Zaharias as Chief Marketing Officer. Previously, Pay Brand Director Paramount ANZ (formerly ViacomCBS ANZ).
  • Maddie Hayes as Head of Partner Success. Previously, VP of Customer Success at Knotch in New York City.
