‘Bettongs and Buddies’ by DunnArt Productions is especially for our younger audiences and families. The story follows Rufous, a young bettong realising his dream to become a violinist. On this hilarious journey, he encounters other creatures in the Australian bush, who teach him and the audience, what it means to be a critical member of his ecosystem. After the show meet some of our unique endangered wildlife and have a pat.
Performers include Curtis Shipley (Pirates on the Popeye), Alex Schulze (Fabulous? Absolutely!), Gigi Pinwill (Flowers for Algernon) and Melanie Munt (Lockie Leonard).
This show links in perfectly with the 2020 reintroduction of Bettongs to Southern Yorke Peninsula as part of the ‘Marna Banggara’ long term rewilding program.
Next in the line-up is our very own Seafood Soiree. A mouth-watering feast of Yorke Peninsula’s finest seafood and local produce, served as an 8 course tasting menu with an interactive twist acknowledging Yorke Peninsula’s reputation as the notorious shipwreck coast. A tantalising mix of creamy southern rock lobster, buxom serving wenches, sparkling viognier tempura prawns and the ghosts of shipwrecks past. Join us for an adventure on the high seas with this home grown entertainment. Presented by MBC Foods and Ballara In Cahoots.
For our more ‘mature’ audiences get loose at ‘The Paint Party’ with Paint Mentality, the best Paint N’ Sip experience in South Australia. No two paintings are ever the same. You are gently taken through a sketch before you get creative with the paint as you sip wine, nibble your grazing platter and laugh with your friends while you create a masterpiece in a relaxed and fun environment!
