The Cottage Restaurant

The Cottage restaurant
The Cottage Restaurant is open for lunch on Christmas Eve (closing at 2 pm) and Christmas Day from 11.30-3.30pm, bookings essential.
They will also open on New Year’s Eve during normal hours and from 6 pm for dinner on New Year’s Day.
They will close from January 9 to January 26 and reopen for normal trade on January 27.
Bookings are encouraged to avoid disappointment, as the restaurant may alter hours over the holidays depending on bookings.

Racehorse Hotel

If you’re after some great pub fare, The Racehorse Hotel is open for the whole Christmas period from 10 am-2 am, and until 4 am Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights!

Brothers Leagues Club

Brothers Leagues Club will be open the entire Christmas period except for Christmas Day.   The club boasts a restaurant and a cafe, as well as three bars on-site and, have recently launched a new menu with great seafood offerings!
They also have a Christmas special running in the lead up to Christmas available until December 24, which is roast turkey and ham with roast vegetables and gravy, plum pudding and custard for $26 (members price).

Queens Park Cafe

Located in the heart of Ipswich right near the Ipswich Nature Centre and a fantastic children’s playground Queens Park Cafe will be open over the holidays except for Christmas and Boxing Day, Monday, December 27, Tuesday, December 28, New Year’s Day, Sunday, January 2 and Monday, January 3.
They will also close at 2 pm on Christmas Eve.

Ipswich Jets

Open the entire holidays except for Christmas Day, Ipswich Jets is the place to be for heritage charm and great food.
They are also offering a three-course Christmas meal in the lead up to Christmas, for parties and get-togethers for $30 (members price) which includes an entrée of prawns or bruschetta, turkey or glazed ham for main and steamed Christmas pudding or pavlova for dessert.
There’s also a $45 option (members price) which has crispy pork belly, beetroot cured salmon or roasted marinated mushrooms for entrée; seared fillet of salmon, pepper-crusted chicken thigh, Korean steak or beetroot and potato gnocchi for mains; and lime tart or crème Brulee for dessert.

Club Services Ipswich will be open all through the holidays except Christmas Day, seven days a week from 10 am – 4 am.  Head in enjoy a drink at the bar or one of their popular pub meals like their huge chicken schnitzel!

The Prince Alfred Hotel specialises in fresh delicious seafood.  They will be open all holidays except Christmas Day.

Indian Mehfil

You can enjoy delicious Indian food at Indian Mehfil for lunch and dinner all through the Christmas period, they are even opening up on Christmas Day from 4.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
Indian Mehfil is continuing its tradition of serving those less fortunate with Christmas lunch this year.  They will open the restaurant for Christmas Day lunch at no cost to seniors and those in need from 11 am to 1 pm. They are taking donations of non-perishable food items and hygiene products for their special guests.

Ruby Chews

Ruby Chews will be open during the holidays except for Christmas Day. Classic burgers and crispy chicken are the things to try here!

Fourthchild Cafe

Specialty Campos coffee, epic breakfasts and delicious lunches and dinners will be available at Fourthchild right up until December 24, then they will close over the holiday period between Christmas and New Year’s only opening on December 30.
They’ve also got a festive two or three-course special on the menu available until lunch on Christmas eve.
Entree includes a choice of crumbed camembert, arancini balls or salt and pepper calamari; mains are crumbed chicken breast, crispy pork belly, herb-crusted salmon and pumpkin or fetta ravioli; dessert is a choice of plum pudding, rocky road brownie or bakes cheesecake.  Two courses for $50, three for $65.

Retro Diner

Get stuck into some retro food including burgers, wraps and epic shakes at The Retro Diner.  Open all holidays except Christmas Day and Boxing Day.  New Year’s Eve they are opening from 8 am-11 am.
Don’t miss their new cocktail menu available Saturday nights, great for a Christmas or New Year’s celebration – you can also dine in and takeaway Saturday nights.

Ballistic Springfield

Boutique beers and beer-infused food including a chocolate stout cheesecake!  Ballistic Springfield will be open with extended trading hours until December 24 and a new $20 lunch and drink combo available Monday to Friday.
Sundays to Tuesdays they will open 10 am-5 pm with the kitchen open 11.30 am-3 pm, Wednesday and Thursdays they will open from 10 am-10 pm with the kitchen open from 11.30 am-3 pm and 4 pm-8.30 pm and Friday and Saturdays they will open from 10 am-11 pm with the kitchen open from 11.30 am-3 pm and 4 pm-9 pm.

The Barn Family Restaurant

The Barn Family Restaurant at the Ipswich Turf Club will be open up until and including lunch on Christmas Eve.
Then they will take a break from Christmas Day until December 28.
They will also close for Dinner on New Year’s Eve until January 4.

Summer Land Camels

Summer Land Camels will close from December 25- December 27 and January 1.  This means the Homestead Cafe will also be closed.
