New Zealand’s Business Events sector will be at the IMEX America trade show in force this month, showcasing the country’s conference and incentive opportunities to 4,200-plus global decision makers.
It will be the first in-person international trade show in the sector that New Zealand has been able to attend since the Covid-19 pandemic began.
IMEX America, hosted at Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas, November 9-11, takes place in one of the biggest meetings markets in the world, and is expected to welcome more than 3,500 exhibitors from 155 countries.
Tourism New Zealand General Manager Domestic & Business Events Bjoern Spreitzer says: “We can’t wait to connect in person and update the world on what’s new in New Zealand, from our amazing incentive activities to our three new, purpose-built convention centres in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland.”
In-person connection is high on the agenda, with the show the first opportunity for many to meet Tourism New Zealand’s new Los Angeles-based Trade Manager – Business Events, The Americas, Natalie Fulton.
Other US-based representatives will also be flying the flag for New Zealand. Business Events Wellington will outline new developments, including the new Tākina – Wellington Convention & Exhibition Centre, opening in 2023.
A representative from destination management company Liberty International will be on stand to showcase the variety of inspiring incentive activities available in New Zealand.
Visitors to the stand will be able to learn about Tourism New Zealand’s event support, as well as new infrastructure including Tākina, Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre and the New Zealand International Convention Centre in Auckland. A new range of digital assets will offer a taste of the incredible event options available.
Spreitzer says: “This is an excellent opportunity to meet new prospects, book new events business, and secure a pipeline of high value visitors to New Zealand for the future.”
