Martin Edwards and Cameron Neill have launched a brand new travel company, The Explorer Society. The Explorer Society has been created for like-minded travellers looking to explore some of the most amazing destinations in the world. The company will offer tailormade holidays and private tours for explorers seeking authentic experiences around the world.

Edwards and Neill most recently worked together at Bench Africa where they successively held the position of General Manager. Neill says “current Covid-19 conditions aside, the world is more accessible than ever. By launching The Explorer Society we can truly offer destinations and experiences that we, and our travel community, are passionate about. We can be as exploratory in our product line as our travellers are with their travel interests.”

“We will begin by offering a range of tailored explorations in a variety of travel styles throughout Africa, the Middle East and South America” said Edwards. He continued to say that “further destinations are also currently in the planning phase as well as a range of utterly unique exploration experiences from around the world.”

“I’m excited for travellers to see what we have in store for them” says Neill. “And, without giving too much away, I’m even more excited to see the destinations and experiences that we are still finalising.”

Itself fully remote, the company is focused on developing modern and innovative ways to travel and to ensure smooth and seamless journeys for the post pandemic traveller.

Edwards says “In 2022 there will be an enormous pent up demand for travel and we want to use our lengthy travel experience to bring back the fun into travel.”

Neill adds “Looking for positives, the pandemic has given us a great chance to do something new and look at what we think could be improved. This is our opportunity to do things our way and to explore destinations with all of their elements, its nuances and its lessons.”

Quotes attributable to Martin Edwards
We are passionate about avoiding the crowds and manufactured experiences. We prefer the real, the raw and the revealing.

All that is needed is curiosity and a desire to take advantage of life’s opportunities. We believe in travel as a force for good, both providing opportunities for remote communities and also building larger communities around learning, cultural understanding and shared experience. We believe in sustainability and the future of what travel could be.

Quotes attributable to Cameron Neill:
Exploration isn’t simply grand feats of polar or naval navigation but at its core is simply travelling through an unfamiliar place in order to learn about it.

We prefer to explore a destination and all of its elements, its nuances and its lessons.
