P&O Cruises Australia has launched a ‘Fly the Flag for P&O’ campaign to enable its social media followers to support calls for a restart plan for domestic cruising.
Followers and other supporters of cruising are being invited to make the ‘Fly the Flag for P&O’ the frame for their Facebook profile, with the campaign inspired by one of the cruise line’s hard hit suppliers, Graeme Blackman, the managing director of marine engineering specialist, Inter-Marine Pty Ltd, pictured with the ‘Fly the Flag for P&O’ Campaign Facebook frame.
Mr Blackman, who has been a supplier partner to P&O since Fairstar days in the 1990s, routinely flies the P&O flag from a flagpole outside his Mortdale workshop in Sydney.
P&O says that the message conveyed today to followers is, “It’s your chance to spread the news that you want to see a safe restart to cruising beginning with domestic itineraries”.
P&O is asking its followers to show their support by changing their Facebook profile picture to feature the “Fly The Flag for P&O” frame to show that they want P&O ships to come home to Australia, and keep it flying until their return.
