OK, so we all know that former radio presenter and now with Sky News, Alan Jones can tend to go off at a tangent, but if there is one thing he is well known and recognised for, it is telling it straight, the way he believes it is and not pulling the punches, with these clips in my opinion spot on.
If you want an absolutely accurate, straight-talking summary of the debacle in which we as Australians find ourselves right now in relation to COVID-19, and are tired of hearing all the rhetoric, nonsense, bickering and excuses from Federal and State politicians, may I suggest that you watch the two video clips below of Alan Jones as he sums it all up and it is frightening how right he is and I for one agree with him absolutely.
He says in the first clip titled, “Australian COVID-19 response has been ‘one debacle after another”, that the manner in which the Federal and State Governments have managed the handling of the virus and the vaccination, and our government response to COVID-19, has been “one debacle after another”.
He says that Gladys Berejiklian said in May that she had “made sure” New South Wales had the systems in place to “be able to weather whatever came our way so that we wouldn’t ever go into lockdown again”, adding, “But a new cluster forms and she presses the lockdown button, followed by almost every other premier”.
“Do they know the meaning of the word ‘advice’?
“Advice is a recommendation, a guide. Advice is treated with biblical truth” adding, “It’s time everyone from the prime minister down woke up.”
He speaks of what has been dubbed as ‘Freedom Day’ in England, which is a date when life is set to return to a form of normality, scheduled to take place on July 19, the easing of a raft of restrictions are set to be seen in England, adding, “Why doesn’t Scott Morrison announce to the nation that he will end all restrictions by our summer?”, and “After that, it is up to a thing called personal responsibility”.
He then questions “Or is it the case that he won’t because he wishes to play with voters’ anxieties in order to win votes for a federal election?”
What do you think of both and Alan Jones’ views?
