TEQ CEO Leanne Coddington provides an update on the success of the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) – Australia’s largest tourism trade event, attended by the largest-ever contingent of Queensland sellers, representing 150 tourism businesses from across the state.

For the first time ever, Tourism Australia also facilitated an aviation hub at ATE which brought together 26 airline representatives based domestically and in New Zealand and 14 airports, including four from Queensland, more than any other state.

With the live, face-to-face event now complete, the focus shifts to the virtual component of the event, where 1,200 Australian sellers and international buyers who are unable to be in Australia in-person, will meet.

This year’s ATE has seen more than 57,000 meetings created across both ATE Live and ATE Online with 99 per cent of buyer diaries being full.
