A-ROSA River Cruises extends its 2021 season, reinstates some of its signature features and adds capacity to cater for strong demand.

At least 75% of A-ROSA’s fleet will be deployed this year, with the first sailing scheduled for the 16th of June on the Portuguese Douro River. Sailings on Danube, Rhine, Main and Moselle will launch soon after, with cruises on the Rhône in France to resume in late July. Sailings on the Seine from Paris will continue to be paused until further notice, in acknowledgment of the region’s health warnings.

“Many Europeans decided to spend their holidays close to home, which led to a healthy increase of bookings for the remainder of this year”, enthuses Jörg Eichler, CEO A-ROSA River Cruises. “Interest in our Douro product is so great that we even extended our season to cater for this influx in demand. The German rivers and the Danube are very sought after too, in particular during summer, when we will be adding more capacity than initially planned. Always a crowd-pleaser, bookings on the Rhône are also exceeding expectations”, he adds.

A-ROSA was one of the few European river cruise lines that sailed during 2020, after successful deployment of comprehensive health and safety measures. Strictly following the guidelines from Germany’s federal agency for disease control and prevention,

A-ROSA constantly reviews its procedures, adhering to the authorities’ latest advice.

“We are thrilled that the external parameters allow us to reinstate our unique gourmet buffet meal concept, which had to be halted last year”, explains Birgit Eisbrenner, Regional Director Australia & New Zealand, A-ROSA River Cruises. “Measures such as social distancing, staggered mealtimes and a one-way street system will be in place to ensure our guests’ safety. Popular wellness features such as sauna, pools, gym and SPA-ROSA will all be available too, waiting for our guests to enjoy”, she concludes.

Details of A-ROSA’s health and hygiene measures are available on the website  https://www.arosa-cruises.com/au. A seamless testing strategy has been designed as well, supporting the line’s protocols, and providing guests with utmost protection.
