Glamorous SEXY CRAB is celebrating Dragon Boat Festival with Hong Kong’s first ever traditional sticky rice dumpling that oozes crab roe – paying tribute to the ‘zongzi’ dumpling tradition with a unique recipe featuring its signature specialty crab roe as an exquisite gift set in collaboration with renowned Korean gourmet atelier Baekmidang.
Packaged in a traditional rattan basket perfect for gifting, the ‘SEXY CRAB x Baekmidang Dragon Boat Dumplings Gift Set’ is launching at the chic dining destination at K11 MUSEA in Tsim Sha Tsui East, and across four Baekmidang branches*. Priced HK$498, it features a savoury SEXY CRAB Crab Roe Lava Sticky Rice Dumpling, a Baekmidang Sweet Sticky Rice Dumpling, a jar of SEXY CRAB’s house made XO sauce and jar of Korean rice sugar sauce.
Hong Kong’s first ever SEXY CRAB Crab Roe Lava Sticky Rice Dumpling is named after the Brand’s delectable crab roe filling that ‘oozes’ roe when opened like lava from an erupting volcano. The ‘crabulously’ indulgent secret recipe has taken three months of product development to perfect – in accordance with SEXY CRAB’s ‘golden’ precisely measured ratio of 20% crab meat, 50% male roe and 30% female roe.
In line with tradition, salted egg yolks are also key to dragon boat dumplings, contributing to a gastronomic ‘match made in heaven’ of savoury crab roe, egg yolk and glutinous ‘sticky’ rice, traditionally wrapped in bamboo leaf.
According to tradition, Baekmidang’s Sweet Sticky Rice Dumpling features filling of red bean, using Jeju Island’s famous recipe for the popular sweet paste with a new flavour of additional red date.
SEXY CRAB’s secret recipe XO sauce is made with delights such as conpoy, dried shrimp, dried shrimp roe, Jinhua ham and more, pairing perfectly with sticky rice dumpling for a huge flavour boost, while Korean rice sugar sauce pairs with sweet dumpling.

Customers can redeem vouchers or immediately purchase sets from 24 May 2021 at Baekmidang branches.
