Spread the love

The Easter celebration last year was quite a muted affair amid strict lockdowns. Travel possibilities were entirely off-limits. However, with the pandemic situation improving significantly, the kids can look forward to community egg hunting while the globe trotters hope to take a trip this festive season.

Despite all, the travel experience currently would be vaguely reminiscent of the pre-pandemic scenario as the international border restrictions are primarily in place. Meanwhile, the recent Brisbane lockdown just a few days prior to Easter is casting shadows on the plans of many travellers that had their holidays booked for Queensland.

When things seem downbeat, many safe travel options could prove to be the silver lining. Let us look at some options that could be a safe harbour for travel enthusiasts.

Book a private vacation rental

The essence of travel for centuries has been intricately linked to the quality of social interactions during the overall journey, weaving the critical themes of many famous travel memoirs. However, for the time being, it would be best if we fight shy of direct social interactions to reduce the chances of outbreaks.

Never has the spotlight been so fixated on just destinations, with international restrictions further eliminating many options. However, not all hope is lost as there remain various holiday rentals from a cabin in the woods to the beachfront villas that can offer a private space for enjoying the Easter holidays.

Camp in the lap of nature

The pandemic has brought explosive growth in the popularity of ecotourism, motivating people to venture places in the countryside or maybe in the wilderness. The aim is to experience the raw beauty and unadulterated version of the natural ambience.

Currently, such destinations not only offer repose but very low chances of infection. Furthermore, it can be a unique way to connect with loved ones as well.

Explore domestic destinations within the safety context

International travel is not an option if, like most others, you loathe even the idea of being quarantined or face some unpredictable border restrictions in between the travel plans. Although international travel prospects are slowly booming with the vaccination rollout, it will take quite some time for your passports to open again.

Until then, exploring domestic options should remain on the travel bucket list. However, given the time-to-time resurgence in the cases, it is best if we cherry pick areas that are not declared high or medium risk by the government.

Several dilemmas currently surround the travellers’ mind. But with the pandemic still in the picture, who said that anything would be smooth, let alone the execution of travel plans. One must learn to incorporate necessary preventive measures and at the same time find secure ways to cherish the travel moments that create a diversion from distress. However, by a long chalk, nothing should compromise the safety warnings and health instructions amid the current pandemic epoch.
