Photographers have been invited to capture the Sunshine Coast – For real, with evocative ideas such as watching the sun rise from Mount Coolum, misty mountain mornings in the Blackall Range or technicolour sunsets over Maroochy River, with Visit Sunshine Coast saying, there’s rarely a moment on the Sunshine Coast that won’t have you reaching for your camera, so Visit Sunshine Coast is inviting content creators from across Australia to do just that.

In a targeted campaign with media partner “We Are Explorers”, Visit Sunshine Coast is inviting keen photographers to submit their most ‘For real’ photo moment to go in the running to win a trip to the Sunshine Coast and explore the region for themselves, camera in hand, with money can’t buy experience as Visit Sunshine Coast will invite the winning photographer and three of their friends to the region for five nights to explore all the Sunshine Coast has to offer and capture it on film.

Their content will then be showcased across Visit Sunshine Coast and We are Explorers’ channels, inspiring travellers to book their own Sunshine Coast escape, with newly appointed Visit Sunshine Coast CEO Matt Stoeckel saying the campaign was a fun way for travellers to see the Sunshine Coast from a different perspective, adding, “Our new brand “For real” is all about showcasing what makes the Sunshine Coast so unique, and as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words”.

He added, “The aim of this campaign is to showcase the experiences, the people, the landscape, the food and the culture of the region, taking travellers on a virtual journey of the Sunshine Coast and inspiring them to see it for real.”

The competition launched on 22 February and will be rolled out across “We Are Explorers’” targeted newsletters, social media pages and display advertising on their website over the coming month, with the prize including a five night stay at The Point Coolum, as well as unique Sunshine Coast experiences such as kayaking the Noosa Everglades, snorkelling at Mudjimba Island, jet skiing down the Pumicestone Passage and tour of the Great Beach Drive with Epic Ocean Adventures, plus four dinner vouches to restaurants across the Sunshine Coast, including Brouhaha Brewery in Maleny and Rice Boi in Mooloolaba, also included.
