Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites

Debuting February 2021, the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach Bayfront Suites will open as the destination’s only beachfront hotel on the Chesapeake Bay. Offering 295 spacious one- and two-bedroom suites and situated on its own private beach, the hotel, featuring a simple and sleek design, will also include amenities such as an outdoor pool and lounge, kayak and bike rentals and a 24-7 ultra-modern fitness centre. The property’s signature restaurant, Tin Cup Kitchen + Oyster Bar, will offer a robust oyster program, coastal cuisine and expansive outdoor patio with views of the Bay.

Apex Entertainment

A multi-level, 84,000 square feet family entertainment complex is now open in Town Center. Apex Entertainment, a first of its kind in Virginia Beach, boasts a myriad of attractions suitable for all ages including Mini Golf, Bumper Cars, Bowling, Indoor Go Karting, Laser Tag, Ropes Courses and more. A full-service dining experience onsite, The Pit Stop Tavern, offers American cuisine and handcrafted cocktails.

Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center

After a $25 million renovation, the Virginia Aquarium & Marine Science Center’s South Building is scheduled to reopen in Summer 2021. The revamped building will not only bring back the Aquarium’s beloved otters but will also debut several all-new exhibits featuring interactive play areas, a giant Pacific octopus, two new touch pools with jellies and Indo-Pacific invertebrate and a spellbinding jellies gallery with live jellyfish from around the world. Also opening is the all-new Vet Center wing, giving a behind-the-scenes glance at water quality, conservation and veterinary care.

Virginia Beach Cycling and Bike Trails

With more than 200 miles of trails, Virginia Beach is a haven for bikers of all ages and skill levels. For those who prefer sightseeing from two wheels, the destination now offers three distinct self-guided trails: Bike, Brew and Arts Trail, Bike, Brew and History Trail or the Family Fun Trail. Each trail has a downloadable map that allows riders to see the city at their own pace and discover hidden gems off the beaten path.

NEW IN FOOD & BEVERAGE

Three Notch’d Brewing Company

The Virginia Beach craft brewery scene continues its expansion and Town Center will be the new home of Three Notch’d Brewing Company. The beloved local brewery, known for fruity sours, hoppy flagship brews and community-based collaborations, will debut in Summer 2021.

SPORTS AND EVENTS

Virginia Beach Sports Center

The East Coast’s newest and largest indoor sports complex resides in Virginia Beach. A state-of-the-art facility with 285,000 square feet of space, including 12 basketball courts, 24 volleyball courts, a 200 meter hydraulically banked track and seating for 5,000 spectators, the venue hosts everything from open gym hours for the general public community sports leagues to collegiate sports.

East Coast Surfing Championships

Virginia Beach’s premier surfing event is now the longest-running continuous surf competition in the world. Since 1963, the event has bought some of the finest surfers to the destination to tackle the waves.
