Paul Whiteway, Senior Director for APAC at Skyscanner comments:
“With international travel still off the cards for Australians, many travellers are looking to scratch that overseas travel itch and get away to explore their own backyard. As a result, we’ve seen domestic flights searches and bookings surge as Australian’s desire for travel turns into action. This demand coupled with attractive pricing and airlines extending flexible flying policies, are providing the perfect ingredients necessary to unlock travel and boost tourism, encouraging people to holiday locally.”
