CBS, the TV network airing Sunday’s game between the original GOAT (Greatest of all Time) Tom Brady and the budding GOAT Patrick Mahomes, has rejected a proposed multi-million-dollar ad buy from leading sportsbook and online casino Bodog.

The 22-second commercial features two small goats chewing on their food before the Bodog logo is shown with the tag line “To be the goat, you need to beat the goat. #MakeAPlay”

Since it will not be playing during the big game, Bodog has unveiled their (not) controversial ad which can be viewed starting today view here:

Regardless of the fact that the commercial broke no CBS advertising guidelines, the television network rejected the ad without any given reason. The network has confirmed they will be airing advertisements from other online casinos during the game.

“When it was revealed that many large sponsors would be holding off on advertising during the big game this year, we thought there would definitely be enough ad space to play our 22-second family-friendly spot,” said Bodog spokesperson Kyle Smith. “If they had given us a good reason for rejecting our spot, we’d be appreciative for taking the time, but we simply do not understand what’s wrong with two goats enjoying their lunch.”

Bodog hopes this announcement inspires the folks at CBS to provide some more insights into this mysterious rejection and why the proposal was declined. Nevertheless, the company is excited to share the ad on social media and other programming.
