Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel at Circular Quay is pleased to announce the appointment of Bernhard Langer as the hotel’s new General Manager. Bernhard has worked in the hospitality industry for 29 years, most recently leading the awarded launch and management of Four Points by Sheraton Sydney, Central Park.
As a passionate hotelier and leader, Bernhard brings an extensive hotel operational background as well as a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role. Bernhard is a 23-year veteran of Marriott International working for some of their leading brands such as Westin, St. Regis, and Sheraton across the globe including Asia, the United States, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
Passionate about global cuisine and travel, Bernhard commenced his career in the kitchens, having worn the hats of Executive Chef as well as Food and Beverage Director. He studied Professional Cookery and Hotel Management at Auckland University of Technology and International Hotel and Training Institute in Neuchâtel Switzerland.
Bernhard’s new role will see him lead the team in the art of hosting at one of Marriott’s flagship properties in Sydney, named ‘Business Hotel of the Year’ at the HM Awards in 2019.
