The NRMA has today continued to expand its holiday park portfolio with the recent acquisition of Cowes Foreshore Tourist Park located right on the beachfront at Phillip Island.

Situated in one of regional Victoria’s most sought-after family holiday destinations, the renamed NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park has been brought under the stable of NRMA Parks and Resorts, just in time to welcome for the holiday season after the state government lifted restrictions.

This will bring the number of NRMA owned and managed parks and resorts to 43 across the country, with 34 NRMA branded.

NRMA Phillip Island Beachfront Holiday Park is ideal for families and travellers looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, and get a glimpse of Phillip Island’s famous Little Penguins. Facing a quiet beach bay with fine white sand, guests can enjoy spectacular beachfront sites or cabins on 10 acres of beautifully maintained natural parkland.

Located only 90mins from Melbourne it’s the perfect spot for a weekend or weeklong getaway to enjoy this island oasis and with state border restrictions easing, the park is set to attract visitors from NSW and South Australia.

The park is walking distance from the centre of Cowes and is positioned with easy access to all the islands main attractions including the Little Penguin parade, world renowned Grand Prix Circuit, Chocolate Factory, Wildlife Park, Pelican Feeding and renowned surf beaches.

The park has a selection of accommodation including family style and budget cabins, caravan and camping sites and is pet friendly. Facilities currently include communal pizza oven, BBQ area, playground and beach front access to sparkling shallows and rock pools providing endless entertainment for kids of all ages.

NRMA Parks and Resorts CEO, Paul Davies, said NRMA Parks and Resorts was excited add such a sought after destination to its accommodation options for families.

“Just mention the name Phillip Island and you’ll see excitement on the faces of kids and parents alike,” said Mr Davies.

“Not too many destinations can bring together an abundance of wildlife and elite motorsport in one small geographical area, but Phillip Island does just that. It really is a wonderful holiday destination for families, and it’s less than two hours from Melbourne.

“It’s more important than ever we get out there and support our local businesses. Every dollar you spend on the road or in a regional town helps these communities recover following COVID-19 restrictions.”
