Webjet is pleased to announce the renewal of its long-standing partnership with Qantas with a new 3-year commercial agreement. As Australia and New Zealand’s number one online travel agent, Webjet is proud to be a strategic distribution partner of Qantas. The announcement follows what has been a year of unprecedented upheaval for the travel industry and positions the partnership as key in leading the revival of domestic tourism.

Webjet OTA CEO David Galt says, “We are delighted to renew our partnership with Qantas, and this agreement is testament to our strong, collaborative relationship. The last 12 months have been challenging for travel, to say the least, and we look forward to continuing our unwavering support of the industry as it recovers.”

The partnership announcement is set to be welcomed by travellers, especially as state border restrictions begin to ease and the chance to explore is once again on the cards. Australians have made their eagerness to travel again clear, as search and booking volumes on Webjet.com.au go from strength-to-strength.

“It is fantastic to see the positive growth in volumes on Webjet.com.au in recent months, and this speaks to the pent-up demand for travel from our customers. We know Aussies want to start seeing more of their home states and beyond again, and we are excited to work with Qantas to make this happen for all travellers and to help our customers get the most out of their travels through superior customer service from both businesses.”

Qantas Executive Manager, Global Sales & Distribution, Igor Kwiatkowski said the airline was pleased to renew its partnership with Webjet with an extended three-year agreement.

“As domestic borders continue to open, we’re expecting a boom in travel around Australia. We look forward to building on our relationship with Webjet as the travel industry starts to recover,” said Mr Kwiatkowski.

“This agreement is a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on marketing and sales initiatives to deliver benefits for Webjet, Qantas, and ultimately, our mutual customers.”
