Wendy Wu Tours has announced that its recently appointed managing director, Andrew Mulholland is getting the “chop”, leaving very shortly at the end of November, reportedly as part of a global reshuffle, which is changing the organisations management structure.

This is Mulholland’s second stint with Wendy Wu, as he was managing director between May 2016 and January 2018, then joining Flight Centre as Leisure Product Leader Australia from November 2019 to March 2020, re-joining Wendy Wu only last March 2020.

As has happened with many travel businesses, rather than drive sales, it appears Mulholland became responsible for the repatriation home of over 1,400 Wendy Wu customers and since then has managed a significant process of business transformation, in addition to the resizing of Wendy Wu’s operations as a result of COVID-19.

The newly created role of Wendy Wu Tours Country Manager Australia will be taken on by Commercial Director Lauren Wardle and interestingly, he will report to the new Global CEO UK based Glen Mintrim, with Global Sales Director John Warr, also UK based reported to be supporting local sales initiatives.
