Two years ago, Louise received the letter that every woman fears – it was a recall to have further tests following an abnormal result on her routine, breast screening mammogram.
Louise and her husband of 45 years were already dealing with his diagnosis of Stage IV lung cancer, so when those tests revealed she had breast cancer, it was a terrible blow.
