For the fourth time, Perth’s COMO The Treasury has been voted Best Hotel in the Australia Pacific region by readers of the world’s authoritative and most distinguished travel title, Condé Nast Traveler.

Over 715,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers across the globe submitted tens of thousands of ratings and comments, sharing their recent travel experiences of the world’s top cities, countries, islands, hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, trains, airlines, and airports.

COMO The Treasury, designed by Kerry Hill, pairs Hill’s contemporary design with COMO’s familiar emphasis on understated luxury. The hotel is the centrepiece of Perth’s iconic State Buildings following a major restoration in 2015.

The vibrant hub of retail and dining today features some of Perth’s most impressive dining venues including Long Chim and Petition and the hotel’s own Wildflower and Post. COMO’s wellness philosophy comes to life at the property’s COMO Shambhala Urban Escape which provides a personalised focus on wellbeing for both hotel and external guests.

Twelve hotels of the global COMO Hotels and Resorts portfolio of 15 featured in the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards.

COMO Shambhala Estate, the group’s wellbeing flagship near Ubud, Bali, was recognized within the top 10 Destination Spa Resorts in the World. A residential retreat with a 360-degree approach to wellbeing, COMO Shambhala Estate combines holistic treatments, state-of-the-art facilities, resident experts and nutritious COMO Shambhala Cuisine.

COMO Uma Punakha in Bhutan scooped #1 Resort in Asia. Its sister property, COMO Uma Paro was also recognized, alongside COMO Metropolitan Bangkok and COMO Point Yamu in Phuket.

COMO Maalifushi features within the Best Resorts in the Indian Ocean, while the group’s newest hotel, COMO Castello Del Nero in Tuscan wine country, made its debut in the Best Hotels in Europe category. Honourable mentions also go to COMO Metropolitan Miami Beach, COMO’s two London properties – COMO Metropolitan London and COMO The Halkin – and COMO Parrot Cay, a private island resort in Turks and Caicos.

‘To have 12 of our properties recognized within the Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards is testament to the dedication and passion of our staff and acknowledgement that COMO’s authentic, transformational experiences remain with our guests long after their stay,’ says Chris Orlikowski, Group Director, PR and Communications. ‘Though this has been a turbulent year for the industry, readers’ votes carry even greater weight than usual, because they show what matters most at a time when people aren’t able to travel the way they’d like to. The global COMO teams look forward to welcoming travellers back to our destinations.’

The 2020 Readers’ Choice Awards are published on Condé Nast Traveler’s website at www.cntraveler.com/rca and celebrated in the November issues of Condé Nast Traveler US and UK.
