Today marks a momentous step forward in The Whitsundays road to recovery post COVID-19 with Alliance Airlines announcing flights into the Whitsunday Coast Airport.Alliance Airlines will be operating four direct flights weekly from Brisbane to Whitsunday Coast Airport, with sale fares starting from $99 per person one way. The first flight is scheduled to touch down on the Whitsunday Coast Airport runway on 22nd June perfectly coinciding with June / July school holidays.
Tourism Whitsundays Chief Executive Officer Tash Wheeler said regaining air access to the region has been a top priority in mapping out the road to recovery.

Whitsunday Coast Airport Chief Operating Officer Craig Turner believes this partnership is the perfect solution to kick start flights to the tourism hotspot.
“The Whitsunday Coast Airport is committed to regaining flights to the region; we have been working tirelessly with Alliance Airlines on ensuring resumed direct flights from Brisbane are available in time for the June / July school holidays.
