As the summer season descends on Colorado, Dunton Destinations welcomes guests to Dunton Hot Springs, Dunton River Camp, and Dunton Town House with new procedures to prioritize the health and safety of guests and staff. The safety protocols range from updates to the check-in process and dining experiences to in-room amenities and modified use of its hot springs. These changes, along with overhauled daily hygiene practices, went into effect at Dunton Hot Springs on May 1st and will be deployed at Dunton River Camp and Dunton Town House upon reopening June 1st. The full list of procedures, which reflect the evolving local and state mandates, can be found here.

Though briefly closed to guests, Dunton Destinations kept the entirety of its team employed, and safely engaged in property improvements and planning for the reopening. During the downtime, Dunton staff renovated the property’s Saloon and Dance Hall, upgraded cabin interiors, preserved perishable fruits and vegetables, made cheese with milk overstock, and even found time to give back to the community by volunteering at the local homeless shelter.

Dunton Hot Springs has reopened after a short closure and welcomes guests to one of the most picturesque corners of Colorado. Located in an alpine valley and surrounded by lush forests and idyllic meadows, the former 1800s ghost town provides a charming setting for nature exploration and relaxation in its renowned hot springs. True to the Dunton brand reputation synonymous with quality and authentic hospitality — and in line with its status as a Relais & Chateaux establishment, the 12-cabin and one-tent Dunton Hot Springs delights with world-class seasonal cuisine sourced locally by Executive Chef Theo Adley.
Located four miles down the road from Dunton Hot Springs, the seasonal Dunton River Camp has reopened under a new exclusive-use reservations model. The property is comprised of eight luxury tents set along the Dolores River or overlooking the San Juan Mountains and showcases the beauty of Colorado summers in the great outdoors. Dunton River Camp is ideal for families and small groups who desire to spend time together mountain biking, fly fishing, or hiking while distancing themselves from other travelers.
Dunton Town House is a five-bedroom bed & breakfast hotel located in the historic town of Telluride. Available by the room or as a buyout for a small group or family, Dunton Town House offers the privacy of a charming Victorian home and the ideal location to explore the town on foot. Dunton Town House employs a house manager who caters to all guest needs, from arranging ski passes and dinner reservations to coordinating fly fishing adventures on the San Miguel River and treks on the local Via Ferrata.
