The following properties from Aman have taken action into their own hands to support their local communities who don’t have access to everyday luxuries and medical grade supplies to combat COVID-19.
Amanbagh, Northwest India
- Supplying food and general supplies for local school
- Making masks for families of staff and local community (Karin has been doing this herself!)
Aman-i-khas, Northern India
- Supplying food and general supplies for local school
- Provided a disinfection machine for the hospital
- Prepared food parcels for labourers (in fields, farms etc)
- Only buying food for staff from local farmers
Amanpulo, Philippines
- Provided educational videos for residents of nearby Manamoc island to teach community how to prevent infection and general prevention tips
- Resort’s doctor has been visiting the island frequently to check on residents
Amankora, Bhutan
- Donations of Fresh Produce to Corona Quarantine Hotels.
- Planting of additional vegetable gardens. Produce to go to those in need in the community
Resplendent Ceylon
Resplendent Ceylon has launched “SafeStay” a dedicated Health & Safety Guide for hotels, to monitor and manage stringent health and safety measures.
Despite comprising low density resorts in isolated locations, Resplendent Ceylon believes the Guide is essential to ensure protection of guests, staff and respective communities.
It covers logistics, transport, guest and staff contact areas, emergency response, safety equipment and chemicals, maintenance duties, as well as communications. Mandatory staff training will take place prior to the resumption of operations.Content will be updated to reflect new information on mitigating risk.
The “SafeStay” guide is made available to all hotels and tourism accommodations at home and overseas.
