Arkansas State Parks and the Walton Family Foundation will host an event on Thursday, January 30, to announce a major collaboration in the Arkansas Delta designed to provide a unique recreational opportunity in Eastern Arkansas as well as improve the economy through increased tourism in the area and provide a pathway to a healthy lifestyle.

The Delta Heritage Trail State Park is a Rails-To-Trails project under development by Arkansas State Parks. The final length of the trail will be more than 84 miles between Lexa, Ark., and Arkansas City, Ark.

other visual opportunities in the park.
