Xhibition, an HSMAI Award-winning PR agency founded by Nestor Lara Baeza and Ross Belfer, announces its representation of Gekko Group, one of Europe’s leading hospitality companies. Gekko’s dynamic and trend-setting concepts span multiple categories, from hotels and restaurants to bars, clubs and events venues, including the signature Roomers and Provocateur brands. Xhibition will oversee all international media relations campaigns for Gekko’s existing properties as well as new developments opening in 2020.

Gekko Group was founded in 2003 by hospitality duo Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu, who have since been elected “Hoteliers of the Year” for their exceptional hotel concepts by trade journal, Allgemeine Hotel und Gastronomiezeitung. Gekko’s signature aesthetic, design-driven facilities, playful collaborations, and intimate approach to service have fueled their strategic expansion throughout Germany. Gekko Group currently owns and operates seven hotel properties in the country, with two more concepts set to open in 2020.

“Gekko Group properties have an unmistakable identity. Each property is unique, but they’re united by a common brand ethos rooted in authenticity,” says Xhibition Principal, Ross Belfer. “We are thrilled to partner with Alex and Micky as they continue to grow and push the boundaries of European hospitality. Their passion, imagination, and creativity perfectly manifest in the unique concepts they create, and we cannot wait to share their work with the world.”

Gekko Groups portfolio includes:
  • Roomers Hotels: Roomers hotels are anchored in Munich, Baden-Baden, and Frankfurt. Each property is unique in look, scene, and approach to service. More than a place to overnight, Roomers hotels showcase the dynamic cities they call home by providing an experience that reflects the local lifestyle. Though unique in their approach, all Roomers share a common thread that is electric, hedonistic, sexy, luxurious, and glamorous. A fourth Roomers property will be added to the collection in 2021 with the opening of Roomers Parkview in Frankfurt’s Westend.
  • Provocateur Berlin: Opened in March 2017, Provocateur Berlin is the burlesque sibling of Roomers. The Provocateur is the perfect merging of playful sensuality of modern-day urban life in Berlin with a nod to Paris of the 1920s, bridging the gap between Oscar Wilde and Edith Piaf.
  • Gerbermühle: Dating back to the 16th century, Gerbermühle is a 19-room design hotel steeped in history. The former mill was meticulously restored to provide an authentic and historic hospitality experience complemented by modern design and impeccable service. Gerbermühle’s location on the banks of the river Main welcomes guests to take in the best of Frankfurt year-round.
  • Bristol Hotel: Acquired and extensively renovated in 2003, Bristol Hotel was transformed into the first lifestyle hotel in Frankfurt. The Bristol Hotel has become a favorite for visitors because of its location a stone-throw away from Frankfurt’s central station, and for its social spaces like the ever-popular Summerlounge.
  • The Pure: Set within a former textile factory dating back to the turn of the century, The Pure features 50 guestrooms located between the central station and Frankfurt’s large fair ground. Sleek, stylish and modern, The Pure became Frankfurt’s first member of the exclusive Design Hotels™ when it opened its doors in 2005.
Next year, Gekko Group will launch its new namesake brand, Gekko House, with the opening of the 128-room flagship property in Frankfurt.
