General Manager of WorldNomads.com, Chris Noble, has been appointed to the board of the Adventure Travel Conservation Fund. The ATCF is a non-profit that provides funding to and highlights projects that protect the cultural and natural resources which underpin the adventure tourism industry.
The foundation’s mission is to directly fund local projects engaged in the conservation of unique natural and cultural resources of adventure travel destinations.
ACTF projects include snow leopard conservancy, Himalayan homestays and coral reef protection in the Mexican Pacific.
The ATCF said it was so pleased to welcome Chris to the board and acknowledged his “ample experience and a readiness to join us as we continue to move the dial on conservation for adventure travel destinations”.
Mr. Noble said he saw this appointment as a chance…
“… to create opportunities for travelers to become educated about, and advocates for, sustainable tourism worldwide. “
Mr. Noble commences his term on the ACTF board in January 2020.
