Three corporate travel leaders have been elected by ACTE membership to join the volunteer leadership of the 2019 ACTE Board of Directors. Each year the ACTE Nominations Committee is tasked with developing a candidate slate for board service that exemplifies the leadership profile and experience to best support the strategic vision of the association. Positions up for election were the At Large Board Director (2-year term), Asia Region Board Director (3-year term), and Latin America Region Board Director (3-year term).

Joining the board as At Large Board Director is Alison Taylor, Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Distribution for American Airlines. For over 20 years Alison has served in many leadership roles in two of the world’s top travel organisations. Before joining American Airlines in September 2016 she led the sales team at Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. In 2015 and 2016 Successful Meetings magazine named her one of the most influential people in the meetings industry and in 2017 Business Travel News named her as one of their Top 25 most influential people in business travel. She is based in the United States.

Derek Ho Vice President, Global Sales, Asia for Japan Airlines joins the board as Asia Region Board Director. He is a 39 year airline industry veteran who has held various leadership positions in Sales throughout his career. He currently leads the airline’s corporate sales teams in the region to develop new business, primarily with the Global Corporate and Travel Management Company channels to generate premium revenue. He is based in Hong Kong.

“As a global organisation, it is vital that the ACTE board has world-wide representation. This month we welcomed three corporate travel leaders to the 2019 ACTE Board of Directors – all of whom have a finger on the pulse of the industry and the region they represent,” said Lori O’Connell, president, ACTE Global. “We are excited about the perspective and strong leadership these individuals bring to the board to help grow the ACTE community and take ACTE to the next level.”
