Nicky’s European journey commences in Amsterdam where she boards Scenic Jasper and cruises through five countries from the Netherlands to Switzerland along the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Along the way Nicky sails through the beautiful Moselle Valley, famed for its vineyards perched on the sides of the steep cliffs that line the river bank. In Cochem, Nicky visits the iconic Reichsburg Castle which offers amazing views over the Moselle River and was once used to collect tolls from passing ships.
Travelling through the Upper Rhine Valley, Nicky visits the oldest Baroque residence Rastatt Palace which was modelled on the Palace of Versailles, enjoying an exclusive evening of live classical music
The French city of Strasbourg provides an opportunity to wander through the Old Town with its half-timbered houses and the unique historic quarter. Nicky then travels back into Germany with a visit to the famed Black Forest, the setting of the Hansel and Gretel fairytale. After visiting the open air museum, Nicky returns to Scenic Jasper for the gala dinner, a fitting way to end a wonderful 15 day journey.
