EXCLUSIVE RESORT COLLECTION 2The St. Regis Bermuda Resort is delighted to announce its partnership with local Bermuda jewellery designer Alexandra Mosher for an exclusive collaborative collection. The first-of-its-kind jewellery collection will include three productions of one iconic necklace design inspired by the resort and the island of Bermuda. The St. Regis Bermuda Resort Collection by Alexandra Mosher, inspired by the new resort and legacy of the St. Regis brand, as well as the life and legacy of Caroline Astor, has arrived just in time for the holiday season and can be purchased exclusively at the resort in St. George’s, Bermuda.

The first piece in a complete jewellery collection to follow in 2022, the Caroline necklace is an organically textured drop pendant on an omega choker chain, featuring textured oxidized metalwork and whimsically arranged natural gemstones in an ombre of ocean blues. The timeless piece takes design inspiration from The St. Regis Bermuda Resort and its surroundings, incorporating natural textures found at the nearby Fort St. Catherine, and bright colours of the ocean, with a nod to the opulent Edwardian jewellery worn in the glamorous era of Caroline Astor.

“We are very proud to see this representation of the luxurious St. Regis Bermuda Resort come to life in Alexandra’s necklace and the St. Regis Bermuda Resort Collection,” says the property’s General Manager Jan Vanhaelewyn. “With the texture of the historic Fort St. Catherine and the colours of the turquoise ocean that surrounds the resort, the necklace has captured and immortalized a piece of St. Regis and Bermuda history. This timeless piece brings us back to the era of Caroline Astor and her effortless glamour, updated for the elegant everyday woman of today.”

In her design, Mosher captures the resort and Fort St. Catherine within the textures of the precious metals by imprinting the materials with the facade of the fort, allowing wearers to take home a piece of Bermudian heritage set into their jewellery. The hand-selected gemstones adorning the textured silver pendant are arranged in an ombre effect, working down the piece from kyanite, apatite, and larimar to aquamarine accented with glints of white diamonds set in 14K yellow gold, reflecting the ocean hues and organic shapes that surround the resort.

The Caroline necklace’s naturally-inspired design process uses Alexandra Mosher’s unique proprietary methods to create pieces that are truly one of a kind. Incorporating Bermuda’s Fort St. Catherine’s limestone texture into her moulds, Mosher is able to put a piece of Bermuda’s storied past and present elegance into the collection. These natural textures are accentuated through the darkened oxidized silver, and the jewels, which she has carefully curated from gemstones she has collected over time and have been incorporated into a timeless yet modern design, reflecting the elegant St. Regis Bermuda Resort.

The rest of the collection, which will be launching in Spring 2022 will be modular, interchangeable designs, made to wear for the many different experiences found at The St. Regis Bermuda.  The capsule collection will be appropriate for every occasion, allowing guests to bring a curated collection of jewellery that interplay with each other while leaving the rest of their jewellery box at home. The collection is perfect for every St. Regis Ritual – sitting down for afternoon tea, enjoying a Gates Bay Mary at the St. Regis Bar, or celebrating an eventful day with a sunset champagne sabering – there is a St. Regis Bermuda Resort Collection piece to match.

“I am so thrilled to partner with the beautiful St. Regis Bermuda Resort on this collection,” shares designer and local Bermudian Alexandra Mosher. “The idea behind this Caroline necklace and the forthcoming collection is to celebrate the resort and the exciting ritual of getting ready for a special occasion, and as the resort is guided by its own rituals, I am so proud to be a part of sharing such a piece inspired by the resort and the history of the island.”

Additional pieces of The St. Regis Bermuda Resort Collection by Alexandra Mosher including exclusive productions of earrings, bracelets, and rings, are set to arrive in 2022.
