Australia is no less than a dreamland when it comes to travel. The continent has a variety of tourist destinations. Unfortunately, this year, doors are likely to remain shut for international tourists. But there is a silver lining- Tourism Australia aspires that Australian citizens continue to have travel experiences worth a lifetime.

The travel and tourism industry sustains because of tourist demands. It’s now been over a year since the industry is lying deserted, waiting for travellers to hit tourist destinations. Australia’s Tourism Industry earns a major chunk through international travellers, but this year international travel seems like a dead end. Thus, domestic travel is being promoted so that the industry can survive the turmoil.

Epic Holidays

It has been often observed that Australians spend more on overseas travel. The domestic tourism industry is desperately looking for Australians to hit their backyards this year and take an epic holiday.

When COVID-19 hit, the doors of tourism was unfortunately shut for tourists. But with recovery underway, Australians can relish the flavour of some staggering tourist destinations within their homeland.

The AUD 9 million worth campaign is encouraging Australians to explore domestic tourist destinations. Australia is enriched with some “nowhere else to be seen” tourist destinations, and the government is thus insisting on more extended stays and extensive travel plans for Australians- within its borders.

There are several tourist destinations in Australia that predominantly sustain on international tourism. Owing to the international travel ban, Federal Minister for Trade, Tourism and Investment, Dan Tehan insists Australians to explore places that people from across the ocean come to see.

“This new campaign aims to get Australians to travel further afield, take a longer holiday, and visit those parts of the country typically reliant on international tourism,” Tehan adds.

Australians can now explore the ancient rainforests, national parks, and red-earthed deserts for a longer duration. With government encouragement and the tourism industry’s offers, travellers can now have a relaxing, fun and thrilling time visiting the vibrant tourist places in Australia. However, the most important thing is maintaining safety and hygiene because the global pandemic is not yet over.
