Azamara Cruises has announced that it is suspending its 202/2022 Australasian summer season.

Azamara said that the reasons to replace sailings between September 2021 and May 2022 were due to the ongoing complexities of cruise operations in Latin America and Australia.

Thirteen Azamara Journey voyages have been cancelled, including in Australia and New Zealand, Japan and also Asia in general along with Azamara Pursuit voyages until January 2022.

Azamara will resume sailing from Greece for a Mediterranean season, and then the Caribbean with Azamara Quest from 28 August this year and Azamara Journey will also recommence cruises in the Mediterranean on 13 October and remain in the Mediterranean, throughout the northern winter rather than repositioning to Australia as originally planned.

Azamara Pursuit will resume sailing on 3 January 2022 in South Africa and afterwards will reposition to the Mediterranean at the end of March 2022.
