SOAR Ocean Club is introducing a one-of-a-kind adult’s playground to Thailand’s Eastern Riviera this December. Purpose-built in the sweeping form of a manta ray, the 1,730 sqm venue brings a distinctive new silhouette to the Gulf of Thailand and a playfully luxurious experience that moves from leisurely afternoons to sunset gatherings and After Dark celebrations.

Permanently moored approximately four kilometres offshore between Na Jomtien and Ban Amphur, SOAR offers an escape surrounded by open sea views. The experience begins at Ocean Marina Jomtien, where guests are welcomed before a short speedboat transfer takes them from shore to SOAR, and an energy-fuelled vibe.

SOAR’s name draws inspiration from the manta ray’s breach: the moment it rises from the sea and takes to the air. That spirit is expressed in its sculpted decks, sweeping curves, and Art Deco-meets-ocean aesthetic, with premium materials and custom details throughout. Spacious social areas bring people together, while private suites offer a more intimate setting.

At its heart is a “Playfully Luxurious” philosophy: elegance with an easy-going spirit, attentive service and the freedom for each guest to make the day their own. Moving beyond conventional beach club, ocean club and nightclub experiences, SOAR takes guests through different moods, with the energy shifting in tune with the sea, sun and night—all in a setting shaped by life on the water.

Rooted in Thai creativity and friendliness, SOAR is designed with Thailand’s discerning social scene at its heart and a warm welcome for guests from around the world. It aims to become a regular gathering place, building a community that returns for the people as much as the setting and contributing to the Eastern Riviera’s growing appeal.

Dining follows a Coastal Izakaya concept developed by Chef Blair Mathieson, whose experience includes The Siam, Quince and Siwilai City Club. Mediterranean influences meet Asian flavours in a menu made for sharing and discovery, balancing quality ingredients and refined technique with a sense of fun. Dishes include fresh king salmon with chilli, lime and ikura; Fremantle octopus with yuzu kosho mayo; cheeseburger spring rolls; and miso-glazed mushroom tarts.

The cocktail collection, Great Ports of the World, draws on Mediterranean aperitivos, tropical highballs, spices from historic trading routes, and flavours from across Asia. Familiar classics appear with unexpected twists alongside new creations, complemented by a carefully selected range of wines, Champagne, spirits and beers. Together, the food and drinks express the simple pleasure at the heart of Coastal Izakaya: sharing something good in good company.

Music moves with the atmosphere onboard. Local DJs will lead the initial programme, setting the mood for invigorating afternoons before lifting the energy through SOAR’s signature moment, Horadiso Rising (sunset) and into After Dark sessions. The ongoing programme will bring together Thai and international talent, with a monthly headline DJ and quarterly festivals that give people a reason to return.

Paul Dibbayawan, CEO/Owner Representative of SOAR Ocean Club, said: “We wanted to create something special on Thailand’s Eastern Riviera, a place for people from across Thailand, and visitors from around the world, to come and enjoy. We’re proud to show what we can create here in Thailand and to give people another reason to discover this part of the coast.

“The manta ray was a natural inspiration: it’s elegant, graceful and perfectly at home in the water. But the experience matters just as much as the design. We love good music, good food and bringing people together. Come for the afternoon, enjoy the sunset and see where the evening takes you. That’s what Playfully Luxurious means to us—making people feel welcome, looking after them well and giving them the freedom to enjoy themselves.”

SOAR Ocean Club is expected to open in November 2026. The Grand Breach is planned for December, marking the first official SOAR Festival in the sea. Further details of the opening date, entertainment programme and reservations will be announced ahead of launch.
