The U.S. hotel industry reported an 18th consecutive week of positive year-over-year comparisons, according to CoStar’s latest data through 15 August. CoStar is a global leading provider of online real estate marketplaces, information and analytics in the property markets.

9-15 August 2026 (percentage change from comparable week in 2025):

  • Occupancy: 68.0% (+2.6%)
  • Average daily rate (ADR): US$163.56 (+3.5%)
  • Revenue per available room (RevPAR): US$111.29 (+6.2%)

Among the Top 25 Markets, San Diego saw the highest increases in ADR (+12.6% to US$249.71) and RevPAR (+22.8% to US$201.10). The market’s performance was helped by LPL Focus 2026 as well as a Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan concert.

Tampa reported the only double-digit occupancy lift (+11.7% to 64.9%) and the second-highest RevPAR gain (+17.5% to US$96.55). The market hosted the DoDIIS Worldwide Conference and a Mötley Crüe concert.
